Celebrate Hope and Healing This
Juneteenth
Your gift will be matched—up to $50,000—thanks to the generosity of Chris & Kristi Murphy of Murphy Lighting
At Camp Boggy Creek, every child deserves the chance to feel joy, connection, and a deep sense of belonging—regardless of the challenges they face. For children living with Sickle Cell Disease, Camp is a place where they are not defined by pain or hospital stays, but by laughter, friendship, and the freedom to simply be a kid.
Each year, we host a family retreat and a full week of summer camp specifically for children living with Sickle Cell. These programs offer not only medically safe fun, but the emotional support that comes from being surrounded by others who understand.
Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) disproportionately affects children of African ancestry, as well as those of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, South Asian, and Hispanic descent. It brings both physical challenges—like severe pain and fatigue—and emotional burdens, including isolation and anxiety.
On this Juneteenth, a day of reflection, freedom, and progress, we invite you to make a meaningful impact.
Every dollar you give today will be matched up to $50,000 thanks to the generous support of Chris & Kristi Murphy of Murphy Lighting—doubling your impact for these brave children and their families.
