Camp Boggy Creek Adds Dr. Vanessa Carroll as New Board Member
EUSTIS, FL (May 11, 2026) Camp Boggy Creek is proud to announce that Dr. Vanessa Carroll has joined us as a new Board Member. Dr. Carroll is the Chief Medical Officer, AdventHealth for Children. We are beyond excited to have Jennifer joining us. Thank you for your willingness to serve our campers!
About Dr. Vanessa Carroll
Dr. Vanessa Carroll is a nationally respected pediatric physician executive with more than 20 years of experience advancing children’s health through clinical excellence, physician leadership, and strategic program development. She currently serves as Chief Medical Officer for AdventHealth for Children, where she provides executive oversight for medical affairs, quality and safety, physician engagement, and pediatric innovation in support of whole person, compassionate care.
Prior to joining AdventHealth, Dr. Carroll served as Chief Medical Officer at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Washington, where she played a key leadership role in the design and transition to a new freestanding children’s hospital. Her work included launching a pediatric heart program in partnership with a nationally ranked children’s hospital, expanding undergraduate and graduate medical education, strengthening regional access through virtual pediatric services, and advancing quality, safety, and physician governance across the organization. Her career also includes senior leadership roles at Kootenai Health, Ochsner Medical Center for Children, and UnitedHealth Group, giving her a uniquely comprehensive perspective across academic medicine, community health systems, and value-based care.
Dr. Carroll is board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She holds an Executive MBA and has served extensively in medical education, physician leadership development, informatics, utilization management, and high reliability initiatives. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to improving outcomes for children and families while supporting the clinicians who care for them.
In addition to her professional leadership, Dr. Carroll is passionate about serving children beyond the hospital walls. She is honored to join the Board of Directors for Camp Boggy Creek, where she looks forward to supporting its mission of providing life changing camp experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families
