Tribute Gifts

Did you know that you can make a donation to Camp Boggy Creek in honor, celebration or in memory of a loved one? At Camp Boggy Creek, we appreciate every donation we receive to further our mission to provide a safe and medically-sound camp for children with serious illnesses free of charge. We are especially touched by those who make a donation in honor or in memory of family members and friends to show their love and respect. When you give a tribute gift, simply fill out the Tribute information on the donation page and indicate if you would like an acknowledgement to be sent.

Day of Remembrance

Each year in October, Camp Boggy Creek hosts a Day of Remembrance to celebrate and remember all those who made a difference and for whom a heartfelt memorial gift was given. During the ceremony, individuals were recognized as their name was read during the Reading of Names. Many friends and family members join Camp staff and volunteers to reflect and remember their loved ones. Guests are invited to inscribe their loved ones’ names on stones which were placed in a special rock garden located on Camp grounds. For information about the 2019 Day of Remembrance scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2019, please contact Sharon at 352-483-4120 or email

In addition to the Day of Remembrance, we also publish a yearly Tributes from the Heart newsletter. This publication is designed to highlight these special tribute gifts that Camp Boggy Creek has received over the past year. The newsletter shows the names of the honorary and memorial gift recipients with donor’s name listed below the honoree’s name. As you read through the list of names, we hope that it will bring to mind fond memories of loved ones and the times spent with the special people in your life.

"What makes Camp Boggy Creek so incredible is that we can all be OURSELVES. We don't need or feel like we have to hide our scars, we can be silly, we can express our thoughts and feelings without being judged."
- Lisa, Camper
