This annual bike ride benefits children with serious illnesses and their families who attend Camp Boggy Creek. Participants can choose from a 60 or 40 mile route through Lake County or a 15 mile Off Road route. It will start and finish at Camp Boggy Creek, Eustis, FL. The Grand Marshal for the Challenge Ride is international triathlete, Michael Poole. Michael also serves as a national spokesman for the Epilepsy Foundation Athletes vs. Epilepsy program.

October 5, 2014 – Destination Daytona to Eustis, FL
The 20th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children will take off with a roar on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at 10:00 AM sharp. Over 1000 motorcyclists will leave Destination Daytona, and receive a police escort all the way to Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis, FL, where they will enjoy both silent and live auctions, music and a buffet lunch generously donated by Outback Steakhouse. Funds raised will benefit the lives of children with serious illnesses and their families by enabling them to enjoy a life-enhancing camp experience. Camp Boggy Creek is proud to announce the Grand Marshals for the Ride are actor John Slattery, from AMC’s series, Mad Men, bike builder Jody Perewitz, world record holder for being the fastest woman to ever ride an American V-Twin motorcycle over 200 mph and Bagger Nation founder, Paul Yaffe.

This new and unique event will kick off at 1:00pm at the Cabbage Patch, 563 Tomoka Farms Road, New Smyrna Beach. Tickets are $5 and that gets you special spot on the field. The chips will fall and if you are the lucky winner, you could take home $1,500. All proceeds benefit Camp Boggy Creek. This event is being hosted by the Daytona HOG Chapter.
