Eustis, Fla. (Jan. 24, 2007) -Camp Boggy Creek, Florida's year round camp for seriously ill children, is pleased to welcome several new members to its Board of Directors.
Newly elected Board members include:
Hugh Durden, Ponte Vedra Beach, retired President of Wachovia Corporate Services, Chairman of the $4.5 billion Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust, director of The St. Joe Company, Chairman of the Board of Liberty Aerospace Company, Inc., World Affairs Council of Jacksonville and EARTH University (Costa Rica);
Dave Pickens, Orlando, President of Olive Garden restaurants;
Dennis Quinn, Orlando, Vice President of Travel Industry Sales, Universal Orlando Resort;
Thomas P. Warlow, III, Orlando, President/Chairman of The Andersen Foundation, President/Chairman, Georgetown Enterprises, Inc., Trustee, United Arts of Central Florida, Trustee /President of the Board-Orlando Museum of Art, Board Member, Florida Children's Hospital;
and Larry Williams, Winter Park, President/Owner, Structural Waterproofing Company of Florida, Inc., President/Owner, Eucalyptus Properties, President of the Larry and Joy Williams Private Foundation.
As members of the Board of Directors they will provide leadership and advocacy for Camp Boggy Creek, assist with fundraising initiatives and participate in long range planning. Since first opening its doors in 1996, the Camp has served over 32,000 seriously ill children and their family members from throughout Florida. There is no charge to attend the Camp.
