Camp Boggy Creek Appoints New President June Clark has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Camp Boggy Creek, Florida’s year round camp for seriously ill children. Clark has extensive experience in healthcare and most recently served as Executive Director of Gibbs Regional Cancer Center/Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she was responsible for community outreach, fundraising and marketing in addition to clinical operations of the cancer center. Gibbs Regional Cancer Center is affiliated with M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, and provides cancer services to a five county region in upstate South Carolina. Her educational background includes, a Masters Degree in Nursing from The University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) and a Masters in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Other leadership roles in healthcare have included Program Director and Nurse Manager at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital; Director of the Patty Berg Cancer Center/Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center, Ft. Myers; and Director of Cancer Care Services, Venice Regional Medical Center, Venice, Florida. As Boggy Creek’s President and COO, Clark will oversee all aspects of the $23 million camp, including fundraising, camp programs, and medical partnerships. Since first opening its doors in 1996, the Camp has served over 27,000 seriously ill children and their family members from throughout Florida. There is no charge to attend the Camp.
